It’s hard to miss the glitz and fanfare around a celebrity trainer.

Their revealing outfits and amazing client testimonials definitely catch the eye…but are they worth it?

For the person looking at an overwhelming number of ways to lose weight and get fit, having a trainer to help them is valuable. But celebrity trainers set themselves apart from “regular trainers” in a few interesting ways, including a premium price tag. Let’s look at why and how they do this, and what other comparable options are out there.

Before we get to whether celebrity training programs are worth it, let’s break down what exactly a celebrity personal trainer provides. We’ll be looking at Mia Savidis’ 6-Week Personal Training Program (you can find it here).

The Claims

What do you do when you’re trying to compare fitness programs and they all promise great results?

Every fitness program out there promises results, so what we need to do is look at how much change they promise.

On her website, Mia Savidis promises a true transformation for those willing to put in the effort. That’s a pretty bold claim, so let’s look at how she delivers results to her clients.

In her video, Mia promises:

Mental Focus – Mia’s program is interesting in that she devotes a significant amount of effort in shifting how you think about fitness & nutrition. Now, why would this matter to you? Her belief is that nothing will truly and sustainably change until you first change your mind and approach. Once you do that, you can lose weight, gain strength, tone and maintain your results.

Physical Focus – Of course, this is what people are usually most concerned with. The majority of people that we interact with (at our club) are looking for some form of fat loss, and clients of Mia’s 6-Week Personal Training Program are no different.

In Mia’s video, she explains that she personally trains each client in a 1-on-1 session. This would include the training, planning of the different phases of training (something most clients never get to see), and all the motivation & accountability you’d be looking for. Not to mention exercise modifications to accommodate for injuries & preference.

Experience – This is where a celebrity trainer seems to thrive. They usually have a lot more experience than the average trainer because they’ve trained thousands or millions of clients through their TV, online, and/or print presence.

In Mia Savidis’ case, she has trained thousands of people either personally or through her various programs. This has allowed her exposure to all types of clients and issues (e.g. hormonal imbalance, new mothers, different ages, injuries, weight-related side effects of medication, etc.). The amount of experience a celebrity trainer brings to the table is a big plus over standard personal trainers. They’ve seen and heard it all before, so they’ll likely know how to deal with all of the little quirks our bodies have.

So…How Much?

There’s no sugar coating it, you’ll be paying a premium for this level of quality. If you’re looking for a bargain, look elsewhere.

Celebrity training programs can run from 1 or 2 thousand dollars to several thousand dollars.

The structure, 1-on-1 attention, customization, and results clients are getting with celebrity trainers like Mia is partly why there’s a premium cost. The transformations earned while working with these trainers are life changing…and a lot of people are willing to pay for it. Especially because the results are almost guaranteed. And when you compare these programs to other “guaranteed” fat loss options…the premium-priced celebrity programs definitely look like a bargain.

Notice any trends in that chart? All of the options depend on proper exercise & nutrition to be sustainable.

None of the fat loss options out there will let you escape proper nutrition & exercise.

Celebrity trainers like Mia Savidis can easily point to the alternatives’ higher costs, unpredictable risk factors & side effects, and the likelihood of gaining the weight back.

Working with a celebrity trainer is safer, more natural, more sustainable, and less expensive. You’ll have to work hard, but this definitely makes this method worth it any way you look at it.

What Should You Do?

You can choose any option you like, but if you’re looking for an almost guaranteed method to lose fat, get toned, and feel fitter…training with a celebrity trainer is likely the best option for you.
