Before joining JS I was a busy mom with two young children. I was working full time and not take care of myself. I was making poor choices for our family and not being a great role model for my children.
I joined May 2, 2016 to the 21 day program. In the first 21 days I lost 15 pounds. I learned a ton about what I should and what I should not be eating. My first nutrition seminar I attended I cried through most of it. I Kept saying to myself I can do this. I cannot believe that it’s been one year that has gone by and for all the years I’ve carried this excessive weight on my shoulders.
I joined the lean and fit program because I knew that I needed to do something about my weight. Each year I was gaining more and more weight and finding it harder to lose it. I had really poor eating habits that I did not want my family to grow up with. When I saw on Facebook they are offering offering a 21 day program I said to my husband, let’s do this, we can do this and we need to do this. So we did, we attended the nutritional seminar together and started the journey. Ever since then we work our asses off 3-4 times per week. We eat healthier and live a better lifestyle for our children.
This program is now a huge part of my life. It makes me feel great after each class. If I miss a workout I feel awful with myself! My family makes better choices in the kitchen and when we eat out. I feel I’m becoming a stronger woman and most of all my children see me as a healthy role model. They know that using exercise daily is important for your overall health.
I didn’t really have any health concerns but I did feel that I was getting some back pain and my feet were constantly hurting me. Especially in the summer wearing flip flops my feet would kill me.
My friends and family are very supportive and very proud of what I have accomplished. A lot of my friends see the results that I’ve made and they would like to join and see their own results. Some have even started the program recently. My husband who joined with me has been my biggest supporter, we attend classes together and that motivates me when he is there pushing me along.
I would tell them not to be hesitant give it a try, anyone can do this as long as you want to make this part of your lifestyle. I would say it’s not easy at first but after 2 weeks you will be so happy with your results. Just go for it!
I have met a lot of new people here at the gym everyone is very supportive, everyone is very friendly and all here for the same thing. To get a good ass kicking!
All of the staff members here have made an impact on me. From when you walk in the front door and see everyone smiling, to the trainers and instructors they’re all very supportive and make you feel comfortable here.
My future goals are to stay active for as long as I can I have about 30 more pounds to lose and I’m already over halfway passed my original goal. I will continue to be a member at Lean and Fit as long as I can. Its definitely like an addiction I’m totally hooked.
