Retired Snacker - Happy Shopper - Confidence Farmer
I would say that I always considered myself a pretty fit person. I played soccer for most of my life until about my early 30’s. I got married in my late twenties and I have two beautiful children. After having my second child I didn’t quite bounce back as quickly as I did previously. The life of motherhood caught up with me. I started getting “comfortable” and “snacking” all the time and the pounds starting coming on and the excuses followed shortly after. I would say, “okay, today is the day I am going to start my diet”. Well then today passed and so did another day. I started feeling very insecure about myself and hiding beneath jogging pants and baggy t-shirts. I wasn’t “me” anymore and I knew something needed to change.
I started the 21 day program on March 25th, 2017 and haven’t looked back since. I am motivated and worked hard. Hard work pays off and I am fortunate enough to have won 3rd place which earned me a three month membership which I am so grateful for. It’s an opportunity that I do not take lightly.
I joined the Lean & Fit program because I wanted to feel good about myself again. I wanted to go shopping and be happy about the clothes I was wearing. I wanted to show confidence in myself and instill that confidence on my girls.
I continue to change everyday and I continue to learn new things about myself. Every time I think I can’t do something, I find that I push myself that much harder. I wake up happy in the morning. I have energy that I haven’t had in years. I look at food differently. I don’t crave the “bad” foods anymore. My body continues to change and I look forward to seeing the results. I don’t dread stepping on the scale anymore. I have gained confidence that I haven’t had in years.
I am very fortunate and do not have any health conditions. That being said, this program will help prevent the onset of any possible health conditions that may arise.
My family and friends couldn’t be more proud of me. My husband has been nothing but supportive and has taken over some of the parenting roles which have allowed me to continue on with this journey. My parents constant praise has given me back self confidence that I had lost over the years. I am also very lucky and have the best friends a girl could have who continue to support me through this amazing journey.
I would let those people know that the Lean & Fit family is truly the definition of family. They can consider John, Mia and the staff their parents who are there to guide and help you through the process. Someone is always there to encourage you and high fives are far from few.
The Lean & Fit community is very friendly, from staff to members. Someone is always there to push you along and encourage you.
YES! They may not know it but Jennifer and Kristine have done nothing but inspire me. They are such positive and kind people and are always there to answer any questions that you may have. They have shown me that there really are no excuses and that only you can hinder yourself. They make me want to better myself and continue on with this amazing journey and for that, I want to thank them.
My goal is simple, I just want to keep going. I am looking forward to continue on with this amazing journey. I want to continue on improving my diet and learning to expand my food palate (anyone who knows me, knows that this will not be an easy task for me). I am looking forward to see what else my body can accomplish. I want to keep growing and improving, which is why I am keen on pushing myself even more onto new boundaries.
